Creative In His Presence – A Literary Workshop

Asaase Inscriptions, a Literary Coaching Agency, in collaboration with Christ Art Work, a network of Christian artists, will host a one-day Creative Arts Workshop for the Christian Community in Ghana on Saturday 22nd June, 2013. The workshop is expected to start from 9.30AM and end at 3PM at the Oak Plaza Hotel, Spintex.

The workshop, which is dubbed Creative In His Presence, will focus on Choreography, Drama and Poetry as tools for evangelism. According to the coordinator of the programme, Philip Oyinka, “The Creative Arts have been proven the world over, to be an innovative effective vehicle for unconventional evangelism, bridging the gap between cultures, faiths and gender.”

The workshop will feature Christian Professional resource persons in these fields, to facilitate the various sessions. Each session will see a brief talk by the resource person, a Question and Answer segment, which then would be followed by a practical session. There would also be a general session on stage presentation and audience interaction.

Speaking on the issue of the work of creative writers from a Christian background, he said “the anointing is no excuse for mediocrity and therefore the anointing needs to compliment skill to be effective.”

The organisers anticipate that the gathering would also create a platform for networking among participants from the various churches and groups, to learn from each other and to break new fronts which hitherto, were thought of as impossible.

The organisers also guarantee follow ups after the event to find out progress of participants. To participate, call +233 20 297 0309.
